Should you dislike poor people? Sure! You should dislike the revenue that will sustain your aging parents during social security, or a friend that loses their job due to no fault of their own, unemployment happens, homelessness happens, old age, disability, disease and the inability to work happens!

You think they don't matter? Are you stupid or naive as to how and why the social structure of America works?

We all pay income tax, social security tax, road tax, school tax, food tax, gas tax, federal, local and state tax in order to finance the common concerns and prevention of homelessness, the elderly without income, and the betterment of our society as a whole.

And once YOU get old? Maybe social security will still exist so you don't have to pan-handle for food.

The United States of American strives to be above 3rd world countries where families are left homeless due to economic strife. Being "poor" is something many must endure.

Tell your Mom and Dad you dislike their situation because they can no longer work! Because they are handicapped or can't afford health insurance......

"Poor people" denotes the many that have hardships beyond their control. I wouldn't be so quick to categorize people......

Opinions vary............some are more informed than others. Or simply have a greater interest in the over-all survival of mankind.

I like poor people, its not all poor people's faults that they could have been born into that. Can't find a good paying job or they work just to make ends meet or they are to uneducated to get good high paying jobs and some people that are uneducated its not there fault, you don't know there situation and yes some people drop out of school because they are tired of school and some people are to lazy to work or do drugs or alcoholics and that's how they become poor, but, you can't judge everyone , just because there are a few bad apples. Its like you can't just the whole race because of a bad few people of that race. So, poor people do matter and who says they don't are rich stuck up snobs.

Oh I totally agree....money is what makes someone a good person. If you don't make at least $200,000.00 a year there is no way you can do anything in this world to make it better.

Seriously is that the kind of answer you are looking for???? You have issues. So are you telling me that if someday you are poor for whatever reason you will mean nothing and be nothing and that people should treat you like junk....you are sick....you are proof that everyone is human and we all have issues rich or poor....yours are just deeply embedded in a cold heart.

Poor people, Rich people, whatever a person's financial background is; is not important alone; however, in dealing with those who have and those who have not can teach us much about ourselves; open up your mind and don't get so serious about something that is just a state of situation, there's so much to experience from each of these peoples! Does this make sense!!? If it makes sense, try seeing it this way and see what happens. have fun.

I look at a persons heart and character not their wealth or lack of. I have met jerks that were rich that I would not give a wooden nickel to as they were pompous and arrogant and I have met some poor people that had more class and more common sense so it all depends as I can spot a phony every time. Can you?

personally I can't stand poor people. I think we should just load them up on the space shuttle voyager and drop them off in space somewhere. Oh wait, I am poor myself. Forget that I said that, I want to go to space by myself.

As long as people are striving to be better and do better then I can't judge them. I have worked hard and been on both sides of the fence and I am no different now than I was then. People are people regardless of their financial situation.

PS: Note to everyone: Nver give a poor person money. Give them food, clothes, a car, a house, but not money because they'll use it to buy drugs and thats doesnt help them it just makes them worse.
