My mom is now ending her second marriage (third major relationship) She has cheated and lied throughout this one as well. Is this because she doesn't have the capacity to realize how much pain being a tramp causes? Why is the grass always greener on the other side for her?

well.. she wont understand till either something big happens or till somebody tells her exactly what she needs to listen.
but the good point is at least you understand what is right and what is wrong. do not forget that.
u seem to be a smart person - just try to help her handle the situation but dont try to prove urself smarter than ur mom after all she's the mom way better than u could be and yes --- respect her. she might be a liar, cheater to somebody but atleast she loves u and takes care of u.

some people move on when ever any problems arise within the marriage, because they just don't have the relationship skills, or capacity to work out difficulties.she will not know what she has done until it is her that gets hurt, than and only than will she be able to look back and see the real truth here. it is always easier for some to just move on to another partner and give no thought to hurting others if they don't get their own way. sometimes they are moved by emotions, and not logic.

It isn't greener for her. Apparently she may have had some sort of trauma in her life you are unaware of. Perhaps many things went wrong in her childhood. Currently she does not appear to be a very happy person. Jumping from one man to another is not going
to solve her inner problems. Perhaps you could get her into some type of counseling. Pray for her as well.

Some People dont do good with comittments. She probably doesnt realize how much pain she causes others. why dont you write her a letter and try to explain to her the way you feel. remember communitcation is the key! some fall in love quickly or what they think is love.

Your mother may be addicted to the thrill of the chase and being in illicit relationships. Don't take on the burden of feeling responsible or embarrassed by her behavior.

Don't call your mother a tramp please. Some people just have different levels of desire. She may have a big need for love in her life. Try to understand her.

Maybe she only cares about her needs? If current hubby isn't fufilling them for her she will go somewhere else. Or maybe she just likes the drama she creates.
