The Americans are very smart,intelligent, but most dumb and stupid?

They keep on telling the world about their latest military technology. Don't they think the exposure gives others the inspiration and ideas?

Eh, not only America does this. I'm sure your countries military researchers are doing it too. Just look at North Korea who was recently boasting about developing nuclear weapons. It was the same during the Cold War. The Soviets were doing it. All countries do it, at least the ones smart enough and wealthy enough to develop such technologies. So before you say most Americans are stupid, look at what your own country is doing. I'm sure I find some things they are doing stupid, but that doesn't mean I think you are stupid.

I suspect a lot of this is bullsh** to baffle the enemy - let us be honest, the latest technology - UK, US or "other" has an unfortunate knack of not QUITE living up to expectation - hence having laser guided and GPS guided missiles supposedly capable of flying in through the window of your choice - which in reality fly a few hundred metres of course and blow up a school / church ./ bit of land in the middle of nowhere.

When teenage hackers are able to run riot on defence computers "just for a giggle", I truly have ZERO faith in "the latest technology". Am I wrong?

What makes you think that you are hearing about the LATEST? Just because you've heard of something, it doesn't mean that there isn't something bigger in the works. If I were you, I'd consider the idea that if they've *released* a technology, they don't need to keep it secret any longer.

So? They don't have the technology to match us. They see what we have. They want it. They spend the next 20 years trying to get it. And by the time they finally get it, we have NEW and better weapons. . . .and the cycle starts all over again.

i was an radar operator in the U S ARMY and as my radar system was on the battlefield i was asked to take foriegn weapons training and the teacher was an intelligence officer and showed us how to use AK's and so on in battle but at the beginning of his class he said do any of the spies here from russian or germany or israel wish to come forward and lead the class ,, no one answered but he said theres 1/3 of you folkes are spies and we have spies taking your classes in your armies so have a good time we will

Well, I agree somewhat. But you do not have info on everything. Top secret is exactly that. Civilians are not supposed to know many things. It is better that way.

So, Americans are not really dumb as you think. They are pretty smart. Those who want to think us to be otherwise, it is their own funeral.

I don't know where you hear that. The govt. doesn't tell us diddly squat. They got top secret bases like Area 51 to hide all their latest military tech.

maybe I should get some more friends from other countries because havent heard anything about weapos except that we have nuclear bombs and missle's that could block a nuclear bomb, I really think nuclear bombs and war is stupid.
