How strange ! that you imagine all mean people are popular. If - as I suspect - you are on the receiving end of someone elses meaness you may want to take a few minutes and re-think the whole thing. People who are mean come in different shapes and sizes. They can be cruel, cold, bullying, poisonous (mentally), self obsessed, un-grateful, childish, spiteful or rude. They might be one or all of these but let's just say they exhibit tendencies toward behaviour that another person, a group or society at large find unacceptable. It's fair to say we are all capable of, or have probably all been a little like this ourself too at some point. Don't hide the truth. Have you always been a pillar of virtue ? have you never once commited, publicly or secretly, an act for which you later felt remorse. Something YOU were resposible for that caused someone else hurt ???

We all have. At times like that we substitue our reason with un-reason, we rage against the world and it's petty injustices, we vent our spleen and childishy ( childhood is often where it starts ) we bring about the down fall of another. We debase ourselves and try to reduce others to our sad, sorry level.

Some people, but not all, realise after the event in a calmer moment, where we went wrong. Rather than live with guilt we instead try to grow and learn from the experience. Other people don't and the bile-filled fury that upset them and created that earlier memory continues and slowly poisons their mind. They can often carry this childhood trauma into adulthood and become anything from a simple bitter and twisted old grump to a more sinister and dangerous tyrant, despot or worse still a psychopathic killer.

Let's be real. This sort of person exhibits all the tendencies in later life of a truculent two year old with a loaded gun.

Help is at hand. You get the chance now to be your own hero. firstly see MEAN behviour for what it is - demeaning and possibly dangerous. This so called 'popularity' is nothing more than a sham. It's usually no more than subservient loyalty built on fear (e.g. Hitler, Saddam Hussein)

If you are still young you might find this next bit difficult to accept, but try - it's still true. The popularity you see now is short-lived and UN-REAL. Also popularity is hardly the goal is it ? Also ask yourself, who are the people who find these 'mean types' so popular anyway ? When you see through the nonsense and the crass stupidity of others you can grow. Be your own hero. Look BEYOND the fake novelty and try to find the real person in YOU and in others

Some-times, mean people are a better choice , when face between two alternatives. People choose the lesser of two evils.You will remember this as long as you live , only a person who is not wise will choose a worse alternative. Look at History and Politics for examples.

There are a lot of people who look up to celebrities and it seems that the most richest and exposed ones are the ones who are really mean and insensitive. It is sad that people often overlook the inside of a person and measure their worth only on money.

probably because they act like control freaks that make people scared not to like them,i know a lot of people like that not just teenagers but their families as well it's disgraceful how some people behave!
