Ask the owner before you if it has a racing clutch installed. They clamp hard so the clutch will not slip but require force by your foot to unclamp. If the car has other tuner junk like a loud muffler it may have a racing clutch.A lightened flywheel and a racing clutch is a natural pairing but put stress on the crank bearings so your motor may be trashed already.Replace all of it fast and that fartcan muffler as well.An over tightened adjustment nut could make it stiff but if it is like a weight machine then you have a racing clutch.

My husband and I have an '88 CRX and he is certified in Automotive Technologies. He said you can feel free to email him with the specs on your car and he can help you research it. His email is redneck_texan@hotmail.com .
He's suggesting that if its a hydraulic clutch, you should have a brake booster and a lot of them run the pressure for the clutch so check your brakes and bleed them and also bleed the clutch if it is hydraulic. As far as the post about the spring goes, something that new would only have the springs in the pressure plate.

i could say wait till ultimately the third technology crx's pop out. inventory would be better than a ninety CRX suped up at probebly a sprint over a similar value. Plus the vehicle would be greater present day.

Lighter springs would solve the problem.
And as far as the post about springs not helping goes. This information came from the head of a national racing team in australia
