Don't be too strict...don't let them run with the ball...but if they lift there pivit foot once don't sweat it...Let them touch each other but don't let them intentionally do it...if something is questionable let it slide...At that age the kids are just now learning the game...and calling every little thing won't help anything...all it'll do is make it a stop and go game...which no one will enjoy

I think it depends a lot on how much skill the 4th and 5th grade kids you're refereeing for have. If they look like they're smart kids who know what they're doing and they get aggressive on the court, call it tight. If they look a little unsure of themselves, call it loose. Be sure to watch traveling (much more so when they're taking several steps with the ball than just when they're pivoting) and double-dribbles (when you can REALLY see them pick up the ball and put it back down).

Over and back, if they just step on the line don't worry about it, but if the foot goes all the way over, call it. Fouls, if it's questionable let it go, just don't let it get out of hand. Remember, if they know what they're doing call it tight, if not stay loose.

You're smart, you'll figure it out.

once you get a interest it really is watched by 1000's of thousands around the realm, then i imagine that is totally somewhat agreed that football is the most suitable interest. Basketball is largely restricted to NA (with few exceptions) - you do not have a international Basketball journey - get my drift?? i think sorry for you - you're of route lacking out.

haha i had to do that...i called the whistle when they'd fight over the ball, if they drastically travel but if it was an accident then id let it slide. If there not piviting and kinda walking in place trying to find a pass then id call it so they would learn. It's a learning expieriance so call on everything every once in awhile

il just let go on some of the situations wherein the violations are little but continous repitition of such will definitely get a call in order for them to learn something...Being strict on them will lessen their confidence on the game & they will focus more on your calls, try to balance it as possible...Good Luck and be patient...Thanx
