been in the position a good six months. an entry level sales support/marketing position, a field i hope to be a long term career. don't want to give up or seem like a job hopper yet worked at a previous job for 6 years and at this current company for over a year. i feel no comradery among people here and i am frustrated at their lack of organizational skills managerially. i constantly feel like i do a bad job. plus there is no formal training. its has been labeled by internal employees as a "fly by the seat of your pants" company. i need some advice, seriously.

Anything in life that lives you feeling uncertain about your future you should try and avoid, in the case of this company, is the pay worth all the mental stress you suffer? Is there a chance to grow to management if there isn't then maybe moving to another company maybe a wiser, once crucial question i want to ask you though is what have you done about the situation at work are you one of those you complain behind peoples back or you face upto to it and try contribute in the re - shaping of the organisations culture if you have honestly made some formal contributions or have made an attempt then i believe maybe its time to move on to bigger and better things maybe another firm one that has what you are looking don't quit your job before you get a new job and make sure you have made an attempt to make a change.

Had similar experince. You would have to change jobs.If you are on a visa working in the US, it is a different story. It really is a matter of what you want. Not doing a good job and being part of an unprofessional team can be very stresfull and might cost your health down the road. Have been through a similar situation, but I changed jobs. The idea of changing jobs didn't sound very good to me, at first, but it proved a very smart decision down the road.

You have painted a grim picture of your coworkers, and it's easy to understand your frustration based on your perception of your situation. You can attempt to resolve some of the issues that stand between you or leave it alone. You can stick with your assumptions as to why they are the way they are or start asking questions in an effort to find out. You can assume some responsibility for the way things are or continue to blame others. You can modify your behavior in an attempt toward a more cordial relationship or do nothing and wait for others to change. The choice is yours. To get anything constructive out of this you are going to have to get down to specific behaviours, not personalities. Some background things to consider. These situations tend to occur over time and small annoying behaviours left unattended move to bigger more annoying behaviours. The key to these situations is to focus on what YOU can do to make things better. Your best bet is to focus on your own behaviour change. Ask yourself: What am I doing that contributes to this unpleasant situation, and What can I do to change what I am doing.

Hearing what you write I sense you want to get a different job with a different company and different group of people you are more compatible with, you aren't happy there. It is not going to change there so look for and find another job while you keep the one you have.

Confront them about this. If that fails, go to the head boss. I'm in the same situation as you but my boss is on their side so all I can do is fly under the radar.
