buying a computer?

I am going to be purchasing a computer for christmas and I want a notebook.I will be using it mainly at home for personal use and possibly for work and in my car.What i am asking is what software do I use in my computer.I want the latest software and want to be able to watch videos and listen to music at anyspeed like if I want a radio station and it says 128k I want to be able to listen to this with no problems or if a video is 300k Also I want to be able to copy music from my computer.Also I need the best virus and firewall protection there is.Also I want to be able to make posters and signs like If I lost something or wanted to start my own business and print up signs to post around town with pictures .Is there a special program I need in my computer to do this.I see computerized help wanted signs and posters all over town how do i do this.also what is the best notebook out there for under 1000.00.Also what is the best color printer /copier for everything including pictures.

Try www.dell.com or try looking into Macs if you want to do graphic design. But, you won't find one for less than 1k. Better yet, try craigslist if your money is limited.
