This answer has gone four days without an answer. The short answer is yes. The long answer is that it must be applied correctly in the right areas to get the job done. Termites are so destructive that I think it is absolutely essential that you hire the services of a professional exterminator. If you apply malathion to the wrong areas and/or in the wrong manner, the termites will still continue to eat you out of house and home.

Another consideration is the malathion. Keep in mind that it is a very dangerous chemical. In addition to being harmful to wildlife, it can also have an adverse effect on humans. You might want to do a Yahoo search on "malathion" and read up on the latest information regarding this chemical. To me, it is just another reason to hire a professional exterminator.
