Oh goodness, I am 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby, a baby girl, and i have had the worst acne all through my pregnancy, when before I got pregnant, I had clear skin. My doctor gave me the Okay to use proactive ( Just now, not in my early pregnancy) , so maybe you could ask your doctor and see what she says for you. But yes, its totally normal and i've heard from different people that acne flare ups are a sign of the baby being a girl because of all the female hormones going on. I'm not sure if thats true or not, but im having a baby girl! Good luck and dont feel too bad about it. My doctor told me my face would clear up after the baby is born. Take care.

Oh my gosh, yes. During the early part of the 1st trimester I got a couple of boils on my face along with the acne. They were sooooo painful. My skin totally cleared up by the time I was 4 months along, then during the last month of pregnancy I started breaking out again, along with getting horrendous dry skin. It was so wierd. Big zits on top of desert-like skin.

I hope you're not going through the same thing!

Its the hormones, I had acne most of my pregnancy, it cleared up pretty much after I had my son, but I still get some occassional bouts, but far from the mess I had when I was pregnant, get a good face wash made for acne prone skin it will keep the oil levels down and clear up your skin pretty well.

I am 10 weeks pregnant and use to have clear skin. Now I have large painful acne on my chin. It is terrible. I just keep thinking it will go away and when I have the baby it will be worth the zits. I can handle having them for a few months, as long as my baby is happy and healthy.

had them all the time, even towards the end f my pregnancies, with both kids. it was horribly, be careful when you touch your face, make sure your hands are clean. the oils and dirt on your hands will make it worse, wash your face a least a couple of times a day if you have to. hope this helps, holly if you need anything else, just e-mail me. you can do so from my yahoo answers page!!

I did with my last pregnancy. The best thing to do is leave it alone, just wash well every day and around month 3 or 4 it should die down.

Yes. With my son, my first pregnancy, my skin was super clear. With my second pregnancy, now a girl, I've had the WORST skin. I've heard little girls steal your beauty. =) Hang in there, it'll clear up and you'll be back to normal in no time...
