sure, but only about 95-92% safe.
even if you take your pills PERFECTLY, and let's get real, not many women do....there is still a chance of pregnancy.
if i were you, i'd always double up. pills AND condoms EVERYTIME.
my college roommate ALWAYS followed this rule and i did until i got married, then we stopped with the condoms and guess who got pregnant??? ME:)
now, i am married with a stable income, so even though it was a surprise, it was a wonderful and welcome one.
my point is, it's great you guys are being careful...good for you!, however, if you aren't prepared to get pregnant, then stay as protected as possible. use the condoms and the pills and you are fort knox-ing your uterus:)
take care.

Sure you'd be baby free on the birth control, however you are still not protected from STD's, sure your boyfriends says he is, but how do you truly know?
It usually takes a full month for the B/C to be complete, and effective as well no matter what the info sheet says too. The doctor/nurse should have said that to you when you were first given the B/C

It is never 100% safe with any type of birth control pill to have unprotected sex. Unless you want to take a chance, use the condoms or a spermicide. Even the pull-out method isn't safe!
Better to be safe than sorry. While the pill does lower your risk of conception, you still need to have a backup method. And defiantly be using the pill for more than a month. Don't take a chance!

Condoms are 86% effective, and that is if you use them 100% correctly. That means that if your boyfriend loses his errection, it could cause the condom to slip off, or if you are not careful with it, it might make a weak spot and get torn, or if the condom is too old it can get brittle. If you use a lubrication that is not safe for the condom it might wear the material down. It also menas you would have to have a condom every time, and in the heat of passion it's hard to say "No we don't have a condom." Also keep in mind you will have to have all the condom boxes and wrappers that they come with. The more trash you produce by having sex, the higher yours risk of your parents finding it. I personally would not risk it, or if you do, also use natural planning, meaning have sex after you are sure your period is over. There are other options, because places like planned parenthood will give even a younger woman like yourslef birth control. If you are afraid of them finding the pills, try something like the nuvo ring. It's easy almost fool proof and 99.95 effective. Also check out local laws in your state to make sure you are legally able to have sex with him. Last thing you would want is him with a criminal record for statitory rape, and you with a child. All in all though, sex is a big choice and you should make sure you are both ready emotionally for it.

It is NEVER safe to have unprotected sex. It can take up to 15 years for HIV to show up in tests. Not to mention the fact that NO FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL IS 100% EFFECTIVE. And condoms do NOT protect against HPV which is spread by skin to skin contact and you don't know WHEN your partner (or yourself will have an outbreak) an that is the ONLY sign that you have it, you can spreadk HPV without ever having an outrbreak.

Although the package insert says its okay after 7 days, everyone's body is different. Some people it may take them a couple months for the birth control to build up, other people it may take 7 days. Since you've been on it a month, I think you are okay with the chance with you are not going to get pregnant. Seasonale is a very good birth control, and alot of doctors prescribe it. Have faith in your b.c. as long as you are taking it everyday, faithfully at the same time :)

should be safe, but how do you know you are BOTH free from disease, did you have an AIDS test done? You should really being using condoms regardless, unless you are both tested, even if you were both "virgins", it still is still wise to protect yourself from deadly diseases.
Of course abstinense is the only 100% way, but if you are having sex, you should be protecting yourself from more then pregnancy

Its always best to use a condom as a backup. Not only to keep from getting pregnant if something else goes wrong with your BC but because you are young and believe me not all guys are as clean as you think they are.Just keep yourself protected at all cost. To answer your question in one word though I would have to say No.

Don't believe everything you read. And don't risk it unless you are ready to have your ENTIRE world turned upside down by becoming a mother at 17.
You have your whole life ahead of you. Live a little will you.
