I currently have a Sony MP3 player, and I don't like it because it only holds about 160 songs. So I was thinking about buying the new 4GB iPod Nano but I was wondering a few things. Does it work easily with the Windows OS? Can I put music files on it that I download from Limewire or from CDs easily? I've heard about iTunes but just want to know if it is easy to use or not. Please help! From Windows users only! Thank you muchly!

Yes, I am aware that iTunes is used to organize and store the music. That wasn't my question, though. I just want some perspective from people who have used it, is it easy, or is it a pain? What is the user experience like? Thanks.

iTunes is a great program. It's super powerful and able to handle many tasks at the same time. I've been using iTunes and iPod (for windows) since the first generation. iTunes is completely compatible with Windows. (I use XP...) You can get files from your Limewire into iTunes with no problems. In Limewire, choose your "Library" tab at the top of the screen. Once that's selected, choose the "Explore" button about halfway down your screen on the right-hand side. That will open up the filepath of all the songs you're downloaded. If iTunes is your default media player (you can specify this when you install iTunes, which you should do.) Double clicking a file will copy and play the song in iTunes. Once the song is in the iTunes library it will be automatically copied to your iPod when you connect it.

As for the CD's, when you put a CD into your computer, iTunes will search the internet for the track names. Once that's done you can import the whole CD by pushing the "Import CD" button at the bottom left hand side of the screen, or just select a couple tracks and drag them into your library on the right hand side of the screen.

iTunes is a super easy to use program. If you're still having trouble a neighbour or someone at the local electronics store will be able to help you out in less than 5 minutes. Definitely check it out!
