talking with God, laying in a field, going to lake Michigan and seeing what I can find, knitting, writing, laughing when my boots got stuck in the flooded cow manure barn yard, then having to walk barefoot back to the barn, spending time outdoors, making someones day, finding joy in even the worse situations.

Breathing (I'm Asthmatic),

Going home to MY OWN HOME and NO ONE there (Was long-term single parent -- now, finally, an Empty Nester and don't have to worry about whether the adult kids have someone in the home that I don't want there, or turning up the volume or anything else to damage my home)

The sheer bliss of Yardwork (yes, it is hard, but at least I HAVE a yard and I can enjoy sitting outside most of the year and watch the sunset or sit under the trees -- because I live rurally and enjoy seeing the stars, and have LOTS of trees in my yard)

Clean Water, good/safe Food, Utilities (ever been deployed? This Military Retiree appreciates these items in HER home -- because there are many places around the world where this is not regularly available)

That I CAN survive -- and Thrive (which is why I was able to walk away from a short disaster of a marriage and purchase my way out of it)

I am a Thinking Human Being -- and I ENJOY staying Active, in Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Having a clean house. Yeah, yeah - I'm a bit particular about my house.

Having my yard perfectly manicured - mowed, weedeating all done, flower beds tended, shrubry trimmed and all is well. Such hard work - and tiring - but such a good kind of tired. Sweat is good for the soul.

My laundry all finished.

THEN having a glass of fresh sweet tea (with lime) while sitting on the front porch swing in the warmth of the day.

Those are the very simple things I enjoy!

Thanks for asking!

Living in Colorado it has to be taking my mountain bike out on the quiet mountain roads while the sun is setting in the background

OR during the summers on the river fighting your way through the current out to a rock and sitting in the middle of the rapids the sound of the rushing water is amazing.

sitting on the pourch in the middle of the night while gazing at the stars, listening to the sweet sounds of my snoring family. ^.~
The giggle of my girls.
The feel of clean sheets.
The smell of rain.
I could go on and on, but I will stop because I enjoy all the simple things in my life. Life is amazing and I am happy everyday that I get to wake up and spend it with my two girls and wonderful husband.

What a nice question! I enjoy my cat, because he is oblivious to the problems of the world and can make me happy within 1.2 seconds of picking him up. I enjoy walking, just to clear my head. Life is so busy and chaotic now that we do need to remember to enjoy the simpler things in life. They make us calm and ground us. Thanks for reminding me to do just that. Gotta go pick up my cat and snuggle.........

When my husband kisses me before he leaves for work in the morning even if I'm sound asleep.

Falling asleep to the sound of the rain.

The smell of freshly mown grass.

Singing with my sisters.

Pelting my teenage nephews with snowballs.

Leaves changing colors.

Anything that gives me an excuse to happy dance.

A thousand other little things!!!

*have a happy smiley day!*

hot bubble bath
morning coffee
the smell in the air after a hard rain
hearing my favorite song on radio
being bare foot on a fluffy carpet
doing donuts in the snow
getting into a warm bed on a cold night
running around the house naked when no one is home:)
the quiet time I have to myself after kids go to bed
but most of all I enjoy my children but there is nothing simple about that..lol

Just sitting on the sofa with a cozy blanket. Reading a book or watching a movie.
