My old roommate came over to hang out and talk late one night. I haven't seen her in almost over a year. My present roommate put tobacco in his shisha and let us smoke from it. 2 pieces of charcoal light the tobacco on top of the shisha.

My old roommate leaned across the coffee table to the other couch to get a blanket. She knocked the shisha over and the charcoal put holes in my carpet, FAVORITE rug, velour blanket and a black spot on my new coffee table from the charcoal. Some how she threw the blanket on my new(er) couch and now there are charcoal stains.

She said SORRY SORRY etc, but I am still very upset. Do I just suck it up and live with it? Am I responsible since was the host?

**** happens- not much you can do about it, although it would have been decent of her to offer to replace or repair a few things-

i'dve probably been irrational and thrown a punch in the guys general direction (or a slap in your case sinse its girl and girl) and then you'd both see what happened and that nobody was really at fault and laugh at what happened.

You can't punish somebody for simply not being perfect...that is unless she meant to.

You could ask her for some money to cover it because accident or not she ruined your living room and thats not cool. Ask her to pay half or something.

Well, there is not much you can do. It sounds as if it was an accident. Maby you should designate a specific area for smoking this way you can prevent any further damage and still enjoy your activity.
