a mail in rebate is when say you buy an item for 200 dollars and its got a 50 dollar mail in rebate you buy the item for 200 dollars and mail in the rebate and get 50 dollars back so you really paid 150 after your rebate

It's like an instant rebate but instead the cashier gives you a big slip along with the receipt that you have to mail and you get a printed check back with the amount of mail in rebate. Takes about 1.5 weeks to get the mail in rebate. They're good because you still get your money back.

its a form you have to fill out to get the money

you will pay - up front - and then mail in the form -

in a few weeks - 2 to 8 - they will send you a check and

you get your money back
