The Giants and Bears are better than the Saints..so i dont think the Saints are going to the superbowl. I think most people outside of Saints fans think that..ortherwise, why are the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are 2-6, favored by i think 3 points over a Saints team thats 6-2?

Nope, favored by 4 points, i checked. How is that possible? i think thats the first time ive ever seen anything like that. a 6-2 team a 4 point underdog to a 2-6 team.. i think it speaks to people thinking the Saints are'nt for real.

To J.B. I know why the odds are what they are..but at the heart of every line is what everyone feels is the likely outcome ofa game... check the lines on every other game, they stand true, giants by 1 over Bears, Patriots by 6 over Jets, Phili over washington...the lines set the money, but inside the lines lie the oppinions of the field

Right now the Saints have a strong offense, but if they could get their running game up and running as well as their passing game is going, they would be THE most formidable offense. They do need to boost their defense, however. But I'm impressed by the coaching of this team. Sean Payton is doing an awesome job in his rookie year as an NFL head coach. And he has an excellent staff of coaches behind him. This team has turned around big time, and they have what the Steelers are missing right now: a unified team with the heart to win. I am picking them to win this week even though the Steelers are given a four and a half point spread.

Whether or not they go to the Super Bowl will depend upon their ability to sustain this winning attitude and whether or not they can keep healthy, and whether or not Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush can start to have 100 yard games. And they'll need a little help from more upsets on the horizon with Chicago, NYGiants, and Seattle.

To answer kimtastic: true gamblers see this game as a good under dog bet to get some $$$ betting against the spread.

1. reason is the steelers may be 2-6, but they aren't clear out trash like the raiders, so the spread is believeable to fans.

2. home teams get a 3 pts auto spread off top then it's taken down or up according to match-up. (trust me on this)

3. The saints were underdogs against the buc's also in tampa bay (and they already beat the bucs once)

those numbers are just thrown out there for the gamblers man. They have no meaning to the actual outcome. It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I don't think the Saints can win it all. Their defense is not that good and that will get them in the end.
