What if a bunch of 17 year old men decide and plan on activities that include sleeping over when they have rides back to their houses???

AAARRRGGHH!!!!
What is with you people?!
I know what they do...
They plan to have these sleepovers, and then they pig out on ice cream and watch movies! They aren't partying and they certainly aren't drinking. I know them... I know they should be out partying, but they aren't. They spend their weekends having all-guy sleepovers...
So as a note to all of you... stop assuming you're all some kind of psychologist who can see write through me. Stop making guesses about what is really going on... I know what is going on... its WEIRD.

Sounds innocent enuff to me, they are 17 year old boys, not men yet. Not even young adult men yet.
I have 3 sons, now ages 26 - 24 -22. When they were younger, at home and in school, on Friday and Saturday nights or in the summertime, they either partied hearty at home (ours was the party and hangout house), went out with friends and came back to our place afterward, or just had friends over after work to do whatever, very often one or more (usually a bunch) of the guys slept over. The way I dealt with my sons having so many friends over was to make them all follow the same house-rules, which I posted in the bathroom.. LOL. If garbage had to be taken out, whoever was closest to it at the time got to do it. Anyone who was home when I came in from grocery shopping had to help unload the car. ;)
One house-rule was that if anyone was over who had been drinking then plan on staying, no driving or getting rides allowed. (This was for guys AND girls). Rarely did any girls plan to stay, but when they did, trust me, I was up in their business the whole night. aha ;) It's just what teens did and prolly still do, in this day and age. Times they have a'changed since my day, that's for darn sure! Keeping one step ahead of teenagers was trying at best!
I had decided long before they hit their teens I'd rather my sons and their friends have a safe house in our home so I'd know what the heck they were doing, rather than them be out there doing gosh knows and maybe getting into major trouble and/or hurt, arrested, etc. The more trust I gave them, the more trustworthy they acted. Having a houseful of teens was a very common sight. (And really funny when they started working, cuz there were evenings I couldn't count all the Burger King uniforms going in and out, back and forth across the house. Sometimes they went out on ski-boards at 2 am cuz they all had just gotten off work! lol).. My sons are all young men now, and I think they got all the goofing around out of their system, cuz they are very responsible guys. And all three are in long-lasting relationships with their gf's.
So having had a bunch of teenage guys piled on beds, couches, and floors overnight on weekends for many years didn't mean anything except they all had a great time -- and I bought earplugs a lot. heh ;)

So. What if they just want to play video games or something? Quit being paranoid. Plus, 17 year olds are still boys...
Oh, if THEY called it a sleepover...may be gay.
If they called it hanging out, or staying at such and such's house...fine, not gay.

Seventeen-year-olds are boys, not men, and this kind of thing happens a lot among that age group. They're more likely to be drinking instead of having sex.

What is strange about guys spending time together instead of going back to their houses alone?

Guys can like the company of other guys without there being any sex involved, gay means sex between guys and if there is no sex between guys it is not gay. There is nothing wrong with guys hanging out at one guys house for the night.

I had straight friends that did that. Sometimes it was because they partied and didn't want to drive, but other times they just did like...a very masculine, grown-up sleepover. ::shrug::

Sounds like someone wasn't invited to hangout or sleepover.
Maybe you can have your own sleepover and NOT invite all those guys.

What's so unusual about that? A lot of men do that if they intend to be drinking, go hunting, fishing, etc.
