I have a boyfriend who died 10 years ago. I dream about him once in a while, and in my dreams he never actually speaks to me, but i have had physical contact w/ him in my dreams, and actually woke up sitting up in my bed like i was really hugging him or what not. I want to believe hes reaching me. It makes me feel better. I know other people this has happened to. What do you think?

I think that you have memories stored in remote corners of your memory that can be reached only when you're sleeping. You're memory cells keep working even when you're sleeping and if conditions are right, you can find those stored memories. Your brain can convince you that you are having actual contact with your boyfriend just like it can make you think you are somewhere else. But, I also like to think that your bf is still trying to contact through some method which we don not understand.

I have dreams all the time about loved ones i have lost . I would have to say the most real one happened about a year and half ago it was about my dad who I lost three years ago to cancer he came to my grandmas house it was Sunday dinner in that dream my grandma was rocking A newborn baby then my grandma gave me the baby and my dad took her by the hand and they walked away together .My grandma died A year later and I had A baby boy the month after she passed away I believe my dad was sending us the message that it was time for grandma to be with him and everything would be ok . my grandma always told us that god takes away people to make room for the new babies and I feel that's what my grandma went to heaven for so there would be room for our baby boy.

i'm not sure how i feel but i know that about a year ago i had physical contact in my dream with my grandpa... which was strange b/c i had been thinking about him a lot and always thought that he didn't love me like he loved my other cousins, and i had a dream about him, saw him, gave him a hug, noticed that he felt a lot slimmer then he did alive, and instantly all those negative thoughts about him not loving me vanished.

I think you miss him and never gave yourself closure on that relationship...I think that if there is some kind of life after this one (and I have serious doubts about that), that the dead have better things to do than hang out around the living...
But if it gives you comfort, take it...just don't take it into your next relationship...no one wants to find they are competing against the spirit of a lost love...

yes i think that it's possible for their souls to come back and reach u or maybe try to tell u something through ur dreams. i know others that had this happen to them.

I do believe that 100%. I've had dreams like that and I swore that it really happened, it was so real.
