Abortion is a medical procedure to terminat a pregnancy. It is not "murder" because murder is a term that refers to a BORN human being and a pregnancy is NOT a born human being. A large majroity of those who WOULD call it "murder" who consider themselves "pro life" have no problems with the "muder" of animals so they can have those BABY back ribs or CALVES brains or VEAL (slaughterd calf). They have not problem with eating chicken embryos or drinking milk from a Cow's breast that would have succled by that calf that was slaughtered for someone's meal. I am pro choice. I beleive in the woman's right to choose whether HER body will be used as in incubator. BTW medically a "miss carriage" is also an abortion, it is a spontaneous abortion, "miss carriage" is a "layman's" (non medical human) term for spontaneous abortion.

This is a very touchy subject. I can understand if a woman was raped and wanted to end the pregnancy, but then again is it the baby's fault. This innocent baby did not ask to be brought into the world. Adoption is a better option. If someone does not want their baby they should think about adoption. There are lots of couples that are unable to have children that would love to adopt a baby. It is sad to me that so many girls have abortions. At 6 weeks the little baby has a heartbeat. It is a human being....is it right to kill it?? Having a baby is a blessing and a miracle.

I don't believe it should be used as a form of birth control. I believe it is a choice of the mother and father to have an abortion since it took both of them to conceive the child. I believe the father should have a say in the decision, not just the mother. But, I also believe there is a better solution to abortion.
**I'm not saying every person and every situation it is used as a form of birth control. Rape I would understand, that's not being used as a form of birth control, neither is incest etc. i.e. a woman who habitually has sex without protection and gets pregnant, and each time gets an abortion. That is what i consider using it as a form of birth control. I would hope that someone learned the first time, and would use protection every subsequent time.

I believe it`s wrong. It is a tiny human being.I try not to tell others they are wrong because they can not convince me they are doing right so I dont try to convince them they are doing wrong.I know this woman who cries if her husband kills deer or rabbit but she has had 2 abortions.I dont think there is ever any reason to get a abortion except if it was to save your own life.If I was ill and told either abort or die I might abort but if Im told I have a slim chance of survival if I wait till Im 6 months pregnant then I will take the chance and see if I make it to 6 months. If I do then I will have them take the baby early and then do what I have to do to save my life. It`s wrong to sleep around and then abort. It really makes me mad when someone aborts because their baby has a father of a different nationality and they only want white babies. But I always did believe that a woman who aborts would not be a good mother anyways because if she can kill a living being in her womb then imagine what she would do when the child is crying or misbehaving. So the only good thing that comes from abortion is one less child on this earth to starve,be beaten,be molested or neglected in other ways.

Abortion is an easy way out to not taking responsibilities in life and it means the person who chooses abortion is not being aware of life and God. It is taking someone else's life opportunities away because they were too selfish to take care of someone else. If you take responsibility to have sex you have to take responsibility to have a child if the girl gets pregnant. I think people who are IN LOVE are the ones who would avoid having an abortion, because they are open to create more life within the relationship. Others, who are still not mature enough to be in a serious relationship and are having sex with several different people would choose abortion because they are not stable with their own life. I haven't had kids yet, and I used to believe in abortion, never had one though. Now, did you know girls are fertile I think it's only ONE day between periods...now that I have been looking to have a baby for about 6 months and see so many teenagers having kids they were not looking for, I think: well, those babies have to do something on earth! they gotta have a mission here! because you know how difficult it is to get life conceived right on that one day the girl is fertile?...you gotta be having sex every single day! or ...you got bad luck!...think about it!

I don't have a problem with it. I don't believe it should be used as birth control, but in certain circumstances its not a bad choice. Rape and incest are definitely reasons to have an abortion. I also think its fine for young women to have them. If you're 14 and knocked up, I would say ABORT ABORT ABORT.

Its a personal choice that every woman should be allowed to make. I don't necesarilly know if I would have an abortion at this point in my life, but if I was younger I may have chosen to have an abortion b/c I definitely would not have been ready for a child at say 14 or 15.

Just a side note about the whole adoption thing...that's all good and fine, but there are a lot of kids who are bouncing around from foster home to foster home b/c we can't find anyone for them. So adoption is not always the best choice...I think that's a horrible existance also! Not all kids put up for adoption are considered "desirable"! Its wrong, but a lot of kids are skipped over (minorties, disabilities, birth defects). Is it fair for those kids to live that kind of life?

Personally, I'm Strongly Against It...My Mum Wanted An Abortion With Me But My Dad Woldn't Let Her Get One. It Hurts Knowing That I'm The Only One Out Of All Us Kids That She Didn't Want And Knowing That I Seemed To Be Such An Inconvinience...The Only Situation I Would Possibly Agree To It Is Rape...

It is NOT a form of birth control.

I believe that if the parents are not emotionally/financially ready to care for a child then they should not have one. There are enough unwanted orphans in the world. Rape/incest/danger to mother are also extreme situations. But I also believe you have to get one every few months then they should be fixed.

I had two friends in High School one who got an abortion and one who didn't. One now has the freedom to do as she chooses and take care of herself without having to worry about the baby, but not without the guilt. The other has to struggle everyday just to pay for diapers, goes to college but it all puts a strain on her family. She often wonders what her life would have been like without him (she was 16 BTW).

I was to be aborted. My mother had an appointment and was at the clinic when she turned around and walked out. Its crazy to think what things would have been like if she had gone through with it. Just being here and seeing the lives you affect and the people that change your lives, everyday. The man I love, that loves me, my children.....all because of one decision. Yeah, it goes deeper then that!!!

Honestly, I know that I could never have an abortion. NO MATTER WHAT! I do , however, have many friends that have had abortions. I do beleive that it is murder. God has a reason for everything. Even when you become pregnant and it is not what you wanted, or think you can handle, God still has a plan. After my "friends" had abortions, they have never been the same. They have become bitter, and angry. I do beleive that abortion is something that they regret. Abortions are selfish! There are SO many other options out there. There are dozens of forms of birth control. Not to mention adoption. For me, abortion=murder=sin
