No interest will be paid after the redemption date. But you will get the interest till the date of maturity.

There are two options for getting your money back.

1. Go to the post office where you have purchased them. They will immediately pay you the maturity amount in cash.

2. Go to any post office in India for encasement. But you have to submit an application requesting the transfer of the certificates from the original post office where you have purchased the NSC to the post office office where you wish to take cash. But this transfer of post office work will take at least 10 days to few months.

My advise is that if the post office where you have purchased NSC is nearer, it is better go there and collect cash at once.

NO , you will not get any interest on the money due after maturity date. For claiming take your certificate to the Post Office where you purchased it and if there is any problem, meet the Post master general in your city.
