I wish to point out that I am not championing divorce and if you are indeed happily married I commend you and my best wishes for the future, I am asking those who have just got out of a difficult marriage.

the first thing that i do was put the documents away, but the first thing i felt was "IT'S OVER" "how could this be...it seems just like yesterday...n now... it's really OVER...

Was a big let down feeling. The true death of a relationship that so much time and effort had been put into. I cried and drank wine, alone. Next day, I brushed myself out and thought about the future with a smile.

The day I got the notice in the mail I cried - a lot.

10 years, 3650 days - gone. All efforts to save the marriage had failed. Without my family and close friends at my side, it would have been absolutely horrible.

I cried. I still loved my X but he left me for a woman almost 20 years older. In retrospect, it was the best thing that ever happened to me, I'm remarried and happier than I've ever been!

i called my present g/f, told her i was a little depressed and she proceeded to start yelling at me. then when i got home instead of consoling me, she continuted the fight. her idea was i should have been happy cuz the divorce is what i wanted, but she could not understand i had just ended 14 yrs of my life.

IF this were to happen to me... I may cry at first, out of relief that the whole thing is done. Then I'd be kinda excited and want to go shopping for shoes

let me see would go to the bar and get so drunk then get a boyfriend that was really cute.knowing it wont work out ( rebound )then move on me and m husband split up and thats what i did.......oh yeah have a divorce party with strippers dildos and drinks with all your girlfriends

I'd be sad...but then I'd tell myself I wasn't happy with him anyway....so lets move on....and then I'd concentrate on making a good and exciting life for myself and the lil ones.
