I am 21 and a friend of my opened an account for me. It's been open for almost a year or so, but I'm starting to think its pointless to have one because I don't really talk to any of the people I'm "friends" with. I also feel kinda weird about those people checking up on my page everyday, probably more than I ever see it.

Just wanted to see what others think. I know alot of people have accounts on Myspace but I just don't think it's for me...

Myspace isn't a site for everybody. If you're not feeling comfortable with "those people" checking up on your page, and you think that it's pointless to have the account, then that's enough of a reason to delete it. You don't need to justify your reasoning to anyone, or ask anyone for approval. Just make sure that you're making a choice that YOU will be happy with.

Well, by the words of parents and policemen, Myspace is full of hunters and rapers. If you ask me, I opened an account on it once. In about 5 minutes I deleted it. The site is stupid. If you don't even use it, then DEFINITELY delete it. And if you want to use it to make friends or get a date, use IM or a dating service. Good luck!

I have an account on myspace.... I use it to talk to all my friends back at home... To me it's also a good way to keep in touch with old friends that you may have lost in the yrs... Ppl that I haven't talked to in years find me on there and I think its cool to catch up. Of course I make my profile private so ppl cant see it unless they are my friends, and I don't accept friends who aren't real ppl I know.... If ur uncomfortable with it, close it.... If it's not for you.... I def agree that it can be overrated a lot with ppl trying to be virtually popular... but whatever! :)

I think that myspace is too overrated, but I got one just to see what it's like. I don't use it often, in fact I just updated it and I've had it for a month, and didn't update it at all during that month and only updated it because my friend showed me how.

Yeah... definitely cancel your account. Websites like that are pretty useless anyway.
