Okay, if it sounds strange, no big deal. But it really works to help calm stress and sadness.
Lay down flat on the ground. Close your eyes, and relax each part of your body one at a time, starting with your feet and working to your head and neck. Now visualize a good time or a particular happy experience. Concentrate on the feelings you felt at that time. Taking all the feelings and energies you've collected, form them into a sort of object, which can be anything. Concentrate on the object, and then put it away somewhere in your brain. Whenever you're in need of those feelings, just close your eyes and pull out that object.
If this seems to weird, just try rubbing your thumb in a slow, strong massage. It's actually linked to organs that help relieve sadness and depression; that's why babies suck their thumbs.

also this might make you laugh my 4 year old son was talking to this man while we all were waiting to be seated and he blurts out you know what my popa does He gets the walking farts. O god we all just started to laugh bc we did not know what to say.
this did not happen to me but it happend to a parent i read it on here this woman was buying lobster for a party and she was shopping with her 4 year old well her 4 year old wanted to help so she said ok you can get the cream Well As loud as the 4 year old could scream she goes MY MOM HAS CRABS AND NEEDS CREAM. the parent says everyone stared at her until they actually saw the lobster she was holding. This made me laugh
so i thought it would make you laugh. hope you feel a little better.
