I live in Toronto, Canada. I'm looking for a chain or major store that sells boric acid (just to be used in my home). 10 points to whoever leads me to this insect-killing chemical! No online retailers please.

Try at your local pharmacy( drug store) as there are medicinal uses for boric acid. If you cannot find it you can substitute Borax detergent (20 Mule Team Borax) as boric acid is of the same composition as the main ingredient in that product.
The boric acid may not be displayed on the shelves so if you do not find it right away ask the druggist.

I got mine at Wal-Mart in the aisle where the first-aid stuff is at like band-aids, neosporin, etc. But your going to have to really look good cause they usually hide it on one of the bottom shelves. Mine was in a large white pill looking bottle with a green label.
And FYI, Boric Acid usually works for a while but sooner or later those damn roaches figure it out and find a way to work around it!!!!

if you are in usa you can purchase boric acid at home depot, walmart, and grocery store,any pharmacy. if you like in Canada well your out of luck. you cant get anything in Canada. the walmart,homedepot etc in caanda does not sell boric acid or any of the roach killers. I think Canada thinks its a non pest free environment. seriously you cant get any pest control products anywhere in Canada.

In Canada The Medicine Shoppe can order it for you. It's much more expensive than it used to be at the hardware stores. $20 CDN / 500gm (about a lb for the Americans).
I tried Walmart, Home Depot, Home Hardware, Lumbermart, Rona and Kent first without results.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects.
You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them.

Walmart, some grocery stores carry it, as far as I know it doesn't kill them, however it keeps them at bay, the acid burns their feet, I use it for ants. Good Luck- oh, you could also try any hardware/home improvement stores.

I've even seen it at Walmart. as was already said Sear's,Lowes,Home Depot any lawn and garden center, your local True Value would even have it.
