On ANTM, why is it that every season (in 8'th so far), the winner always has dark hair and/or dark complected skin? I mean there is a lot more diversity in the modelling and entertainment worlds. I mean I know most of the blonds on the show are only blond after the makeover, but for example there's two blonds on this season who I think are great, and at least she picked the red haired twins, but in one of the other season, she didn't choose a red head to even be in the top 10 and that red haired person was pretty and poured her soul out and went home crying. I do find these dark beauties, beautiful, but after 8 seasons you think she could choose a red head or blond who was beautiful and had the whole package.
On another note, I am upset that they voted Anchal off this season. I think she was one of the prettiest and most beautiful and even though it contradicts my rant I do think Anchal's beautiful dark Indian look could have helped her win:)

Darling don't you ever notice that people are attracted to the same look. That is why married people often look like brother and sisters. Same eyes, lips etc..

Simply put, there are already too many blonde, models with light complections. Tyra is trying to break the mode of what people are used to seeing in magazines and on the runway.
I do agree about Anchal, she was beautiful but she seemed to not want it as bad as the others.
This is the first season that i haven't been able to stand any of the Black models. I mean being Black, I want to root my sistahs on but these chicks make me want to slap them!
I believe either Melrose or Caridee is going to win. They have what it takes and don't mind being silly as long as they get that good picture taken.

Well, part of it was probably trying to break through stereotypes, but most of it was just talent. Thoughout the seasons, I've heard ppl both say that she favors white and African-African/minority models. But either way, it looks like either Caridee or Melrose (like her or not)) will win this one, so there will be a blond winner.

i think its because those girls just happened to be themost talented. i dont think tyra tries to get rid of the blonde girls, or the red haired girls, or the hispanic girls..tyra really knows what to look for in a model. it just so happens the best girls were....the best girls.

maybe its because she's going for a certain type of look. just being a blonde or red head that happens to be cute really isn't all that special.
and i loved anchal too..but she acted like she didn't want to be there. i basically gave up on her just like she gave up on herself
Like i said before..they have a certain thing they are looking for..and if your not willing to give ur all..and have that look..you basically need to just pack ur bags

I never watch that show, but my impression of Tyra is that she is amazingly pretty with a pleasant personality, but I don't believe her IQ goes much over 100.

cuz people thin having a light complxion or hair,... is prettier .the point of the show is also to make dark people feel pretty!,but u got have the potential so she just choose the one its not about blonde or watever
