Some cities are planed in that avenues go north and south and streets go east and west but this is not always true of every city.

A street is when you can enter or exit at both ends of the street, a avenue is were you enter into a street and turn around and leave the same way you came in.

Usually, an avenue is wider than a street. They have more lanes in both directions.

Originally avenues had trees. Streets didn't. Fortunately these days most streets have trees. At least in Sydney. You should come to Sydney, we got so many trees. It's great. Goodbye.
