you know how you can feel the baby though, lay on your stomach on the floor and you can feel the little ball in your stomach i use to do it all the time in my early months and my dr. said it wouldn't hurt the baby at all. its pretty cool try it.

The baby still very small so you want be able to feel it for a while yet. The baby is also surrounded by amniotic fluid that protects it, so all the pressing you can do is not going to hurt the baby. The fun part is when the baby kicks back.

At 10 weeks the baby is still in it's embryonic phase, so therefore not only will pushing on your stomach NOT hurt the baby, chances are you aren't going to feel anything, either. Wait until your second trimester and when you start showing, and then you will feel the baby more... and even then pushing on your stomach won't hurt him/her. Good luck!

At 10 weeks, you wouldn't be able to feel anything anyways. I just left the pushing on the stomach to my doctor/midwives when they did checkups on me while I was pregnant. I say you probably shouldn't be doing a lot of pushing on your stomach.

I'm about 11 weeks and I freak about hurting the baby too. Like will it hurt my baby if I sleep on my stomach, or when I cross my legs, or if i strain while going to the bathroom? Its so tiny and fragile, I feel like I should wrap myself in bubble wrap to protect it.

It won't harm the baby, but you won't feel anything either. The baby is too small to feel. Just wait - soon you will be able to feel that baby move!

No it will not hurt the baby at all but the baby is the size of a kidney bean (literally) at tihs point and you will not feel him/her no matter how hard you push.

the womb proivdes the ultimate protection, its very hard to hurt the baby. Unless you fall or are hit HARD.

Do not worry !

Take care and enjoy

I don't think you should do that never push on your tummy let the doctors do that you can rub your tummy so your baby gets to know you. and talk to it but you are so early in pregnancy your baby is tiny. good luck and take care. the doctors know what they are doing you don't want to harm your baby I don't think anybody should ever push on there tummy. at least ask your doctor before you start to poke and push it.

NO! It won't hurt the baby. The baby is so tiny at that stage of development. Don't worry too much, you'll be able to feel him/her plenty in the future!

No cause you arent feeling the kid but your uterus. If that was true, the there would be alot of damaged kids!
The same reason having sex while pregnant doesn't knock the kid around(providing your husband isn't built like a porn star which could actually damage the uterus opening and knock the plug out leading to all sorts of complications i am not even going to get into.)
