I am truly curious as I have never heard of this group represented in the gay community. I have known of deaf, physically handicapped and other disabilites, but not blind. Also if there is a resource available please provide it.

Yes, probably the same percentage of the blind are gay as among the population at large.

If you had been looking online under "blind" you might want to try "sight impaired" instead, there you'll find information.

Not every blind person is public with their sexuality, whatever it is.

And you need a little history lesson from the very painful early years of HIV/AIDS when blindness from infections was a sadly common complication of advanced disease. I saw many of my gay friends go blind from the disease. Some suffers still do.

I've been active in sports for the blind and known several people who were blind from birth and were gay. I doubt the percentages vary from the general population, but just as with the heterosexual blind, they have a handicap in picking up the nonverbal sexual signals they cannot see. This makes some more circumspect on appraoching potential partners.
