I downloaded the latest itunes the other day and had ipod connected. I may have unpluged in reboot. Anyway ipod just tries to boot and quits over and over while pluged in. No recognition from computer or itunes that ipod exist. I know the battery is good, I plug it up when I listen to it. I have tried to reset with hold, select, menu and ran diagnostic from itunes as well as tried the system thing from my computer. Thanks for any info or a website that may have answers. Mike

Uninstall ITunes first, then download the updated version of ITunes with QuickTime. Install the new version and reboot. Then plugin your iPod and wait a few minutes. Sometimes it takes awhile for iTunes to recognise. I had the same problem after I downloaded the update for iTunes. After fiddling around for about 20 minutes I uninstalled and you already know the rest of the story. I hope this helps. "PEACE"

go to the IPOD store where you bought it from and ask the personnel there. U seem to be having a lot of trouble, so hopefully, you can exchange your idea or at least get a refund. You know, why don't you try doing it at another computer? That could help. If not, get another one. I have the exact same IPOD as yours. I also had some trouble and usually after a day, it's normal. I didn't have ur problem, though. Good luck.
