Monogamy there is nothing more true or exciting then truly sharing your deepest self with someone that you love.
For me the intimacy is so much more intense and satisfying then with some stranger who could care the least about who I am, but cares more about how they are getting off.

This is great question. It explores the relationships between people and its undertone should excite people of different cultures too.

I am monogamous. Which is a deceiving answer because I am single. Despite so, I still choose to be extremely relationship oriented.

I am from the USA, and I have been taught that it's a "one love lasts forever" or nothing relationship. That sense comes from my parents. Although this worked for them, I see things differently.

I'm also in a society where more than 50% of marriages end in divorce.

I'm not married. Not so much because many states outlaw my type of marriage, but because I'm choosy.

I can wait because I can support myself in the meantime.

I can wait because I can adopt a child when I am grown up enough to be a parent.

My past experiences tell me sex can be terrific and it can be horrible.

I know my mind best, and I prefer things to build up mentally, rather than physically.

If I feel both lower and higher brain stimulation, then the physical will rarely disappoint.

This is ideal.

Surely I am not alone when I break lines with this logic.

I would really prefer MONOGAMY even though I havent been able to accomplish that yet. I dont know why like I had a bf for 3 years and we had so many problems because I would always be curious about other things I wasnt satisfied and thats even me thinking I loved this guy so yea im young or whatever but I know young guys who swear they are faithful and I believe them I hope one day I can be monogamous too!

I prefer monogamy, personally. I did the open thing and the sleeping around thing when I was younger and I'm over it now. I want a steady, stable relationship.

I've been monogamous in both of my long-term relationships, and the last one lasted until his death. I prefer that, primarily because it engenders less jealousy or triangling another person into the relationship if we are having a problem. Monogamy may be difficult for some people, but I've always found it easy and pleasant.

Besides, if both of you are HIV negative and you trust one another, you can ditch the condoms.

I was in a monogamous relationship for 14 years with 1 guy until I caught him cheating on me and yet had an open relationship with him and my family...I have never been ashamed of being gay and yet never flaunt it around to everybody...All of my close family and friends were always aware of my sexuality and stuck by me and so did the foster kids I raised who are all grown up now and raising their own kids now....I only babysit once in a great while but now enjoy my full filled life and yet looking for that special someone to enjoy my retirement with, supposedly someone who will not cheat on me....

I definitely prefer monogamy in my ideal relationship. I can fantasize about polyamory, threesomes, etc. (they're my most potent fantasy), but not in real life. It's just my take on things, not a moral stance.

I am SO monogamous. When in a relationship I do look at other guys....I think we all do.....but I'd never do anything.

I have been tempted a couple of times. When this happens I go to my partner and tell him. The temptation to cheat is partly based on an attraction to the risk and wanting what you can't have. Talking about it openly squashes it.

I suppose if we were not living in the age of AIDS and all of the other STD's open might be considered the norm, however since we are in this age MONOGAMY is the only logical way.
Beyond this however I believe it is the most logical if we are in a relationship for honesty and true love.
If this is not your priority then orgies I suppose are correct for you.
For myself only a monogamous relationship will do.
