from what I have heard they take a large chunk of your support when they finally get it. but checking into it can't hurt. doesn't your child support agency take care of getting the father and getting payments? If so let them handle, your tax dollars pay them, but you can always help them. if you know, his phone number, address, etc. give it to them. if you can talk to a relative or close family friend of his, keep on good terms with them and have them give you updates on his where abouts. pl.us most states are starting the law where if he does not pay support they use his ss# and revoke his driving license. but a word of advice... you knew when you got pregnant that you were going to be a parent for the rest of your life, and so did he, if he chooses to not be a part, don't see that as all bad, he might have just disappointed them later any way. I have been there and trust me daddy not being in the picture is not the worst thing that can happen to you or your little one. be true to your self, after all you are the only one that you have to live with for the rest of your life.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot the Child Support Services can do if he is not working or getting some kind of disability or unemployment. She needs to go ahead and file a case with CSS in case he decides to go to work or file income taxes. If and when he files taxes, she will get them to pay for his back support.
Other than that, I don't think there is a lot she can do.

go ahead and file for cs then turn around and get food stamps wic medicaid-- the works.your child gets sick take em to the doc-everytime,once you've been awarded the support even in his absenteeism and you start racking up a bill that the state is paying they ll find him because he'll have to catch up on his arrears to you before they can collect on what they've had to put out while he wasn't carrying the health insurance that will almost mandatorily be awarded with the child support

IF HE IS COLLECTING DISABLITY OR UNEMPLOYMENT SHE CAN GET SOME OF THAT SHE NEEDS TO CALL THE DA'S OFFICE THEY CAN HELP OR SHE CAN GET HER OWN LAWYER. IF HE HAS NO INCOME WHATSOEVER SHE CANT GET ANYTHING JUST HE WILL OWE BACK SUPPORT. CHILD SUPPORT HUNTERS R GOOD IF U THINK HE CAN HIDE HE WILL BE FOUND E/O IS FINDABLE ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME B4 HE IS CAUGHT. IF HE OWES HE COULD LOSE HIS LICENCE OR GO TO JAIL AS WELL.

If you have his Soc. Sec #, can't they garnish his income tax return too? I know that in a county near me, if a man doesn't pay child support, he can't get a hunting/fishing license. :)

if he has no job he can not pay and if you know what state hes in and his personal information thats all you need to give they will do the rest, it will also help if you have a current address.

She can sue, she can get court orders, but dead-beat dads are not easily convinced to support their children..... Can't get blood out of a turnip, so to speak....

do she know his social security number, they will track him down like that , and if he is not working they will take his driving license, and even sell his car.
