I think by saying most... that's a bit of an overstatement... some were... and that's ok... I mean you're not going to get a SF liberal elected in Western NC... that's the way life is...
some are more financially conservative and socially liberal... others are the exact opposite... it comes in many different opinions... and hopefully we can all work together to get things done...
their job is to represent their constituency in the best way they can... why should I be worried about that?
maybe I'm just not a "liberal" then?
and Lieberman has said he's voting mainly Democrat... go figure... I guess he can forgive and forget...

Maybe it just means that Americans weren't completely insane on Tuesday. But, we will see if this is true or just a rouse of the Dems to look good leading up to the 2008 Presidential elections. Personally, I don't think they can hold out for 2 years. As for Joe Lieberman, they guy is a liberal, he'll be voting with them most of the time, but I don't think that he'll forget the way he was trashed either.

Lieberman said that he would caucus with the Democrats despite what happened, so he will basically be a Democrat.
But, yeah, all the democrats who won in the south and west were conservative democrats. Is the voting really going to be so different than it was under a red congress? Is Bush really a lame-duck president?
I don't think so either, I fear.

First, Lieberman - now that he won, he has already said that we should consider him a Dem. The Dems who seemed conservative only did that to get elected. Now that they have secured their majority, they will pursue their liberal agenda. The American public has a) been let down by the Republicans who sought to seem more liberal and sold out their own values and b) been duped by Dems who pretended to be conservative just to get elected. Just sit back and watch. Hopefully they will make quick work of it and the public will have recovered by '08...

first of all, lieberman already announced he's calling himself a dem. second, the most important thing about this election was stopping bush. mission accomplished.
most liberals are deeply relieved and very happy that we have saved our nation from the lying, theiving, torturing, mass-murdering gangster in the white house.
lastly, when americans are asked questions about specific policy ideas, rather than asked questions containing labels like 'liberal' and 'conservative' - some interesting things emerge. 1)lots of people support policies while rejecting the appropriate political label for that policy 2)americans tend to agree more on policies, divide on labels and 3) an overwhelming majority of americans support national health care - a wonderful liberal idea whose time has more than come.

Lieberman is an outstanding citizen who will make a good spy into the democrat lair. The democrat's believe that they will annex Mexico without a fight. I think the best strategy would be to annex Canada first.
You can read about my insane logic, that should not be reasonable to anyone, in my book titled, 'Boring rise to Womanhood" I have a half-page chapter with an indepth interview with Michael Moore, in the same chapter. The entire reasoning, and strategical plans also fit in that half page

You could put all Republicans in one room or all Democrats in one room and none of them will completely agree on every issue. The problem is trying to label everybody. Those who ran and won will govern until it's time to run again. After that, the people will decide if they should be reelected or not.

Haha exactly, and then that Webb guy used to be a Rep himself. There's another one, an ex sheriff that's as conservative as I want a senator to be. But then again, there always Teddy Kennedy and Pelosi, so i think they've got enough on the far left to appease them

No, we're not all "liberals." Get over the labels. Are you worried about the "liberal" Republicans?
