Filipino, Chinese, Italian, Japanese. I had tried an eat all you can of all these food & they are really terrific.
Filipinos are fond of desserts. I had recently read the blogs on the different restaurants here in the Philippines. We have halo-halo ( consists of beans, ube, leche plan, kaong, mongo) with crushed ice & milk & we take this together with siopao. Wow, its great. I had seen through the internet that there is already the funnel cake craze in the Philippines & the best cupcakes in town, similar to the ones in New York. I have to see & taste all of this.
I had tried Chinese foods from the Philippines, Hongkong & mostly in California. There are many Chinese restaurants in San Francisco. Asian Buffet near Knotts Berry Farm is really great. I had tried also the Chinese buffet restaurants in San Diego.
There is an all you can eat Japanese restaurant here in the Philippines called Saisaki. Great food! You can pay a little bit higher for a crossover the eat all you can Filipino cusine called Kamayan & the American steak at Dads. There is also the latest Japanese hamburger in town, reviews says its great comparable to the American hamburgers.
We also have a restaurant here called Dampa, where in you buy fresh seafoods in the market & there is a restaurant complex where you can ask them to cook what you had bought. It is delicious. Fresh from the market!
We just had an all you can eat breakfast at Josephines in Tagaytay, overlooking Taal Lake. Good breakfast!
The Philippines had been influenced by alot of cultures so it shows by the different restaurants we have here. As the priest in Concord California said, where there is Filipino, there is always food. Food is cheaper here in the Philippines compared to Hongkong & the USA.
