A child that needs more attention then most and cost more usually due to medical problems.

A baby that will need more time and attention. I would think there is usually something medical to go along with it. A lot of these babies are colicky (spelling?). Meaning, they have tiny little gas bubbles stuck in their belly.
Other times they are preemies...
My best trick in calming my son was to buy a native pouch sling. I put my little guy in that with his binky and he was OUT!! It worked every time. And, I think it made him a better baby in the long run. He is now a happy babby :))
