A "friend" of mine has started working out but shows no intrest in doing so for the sake of wooing a girl or w/e. I suspect hes gay and he likes looking at himself, but that assumes that gay people get horned up looking at themselves. Any ideas on the age old question of gays at mirrors?

It was an in-general type question. I dont mean narsasists, although i guess that does raise a good point because they think they are the **** and that has nothing to do w/ sexuality. Im not looking for a defence or offence for/against vanity I mean straight up lust. B/c wouldnt common sense tell ya that If your attracted to men and your man, you would be attracted to yourself? Dont answer if your gunna be uppity about it thats not useful, wait its amusing so go nuts.

Being homosexual is one thing; being an autosexual is another. Autosexuals become sexually aroused by their own genitalia and bodies, which by necessity contains some element of homosexuality, but the majority of homosexuals aren't aroused by themselves, even if they acknolwedge the attractiveness of their own bodies, they want to see it on someone else. I don't know how much sense that makes; look up 'autosexual' on Wikipedia.

Well Kyle its like this some people are more vain then others and it really has nothing to do with being gay or straight, male or female.
No I don't think gays get horny looking at themselves we are just like you people who chose to be straight.......other people turn us on for how they look act behave their personalities, their depth, and on and on.
I wonder if you were watched closely how many times you glance in the mirror you might walk by.
Ah that is the question.........we all tend to be somewhat vain don't you think.

People aren't considered gay just by thinking of themselves as sexier than others and therefore getting turned on just from the morning bathroom-mirror scene.

that's a lame and insulting question. being stuck up/conceited/vain/narcissistic has nothing to do with being gay. I've known way more straight people who were stuck in the mirror all the time...

.... why is it only gay people? ANYONE can get horny looking at a good body, numbnut. If it happens to be your own, congratulations. You've worked out, dieted properly, and have good self-esteem.

Maybe so because being self-concious to oneself is a part of being a girl or gay. Or maybe its just a part of being mature.

I believe that's called Narcissism. doesn't have to do with being gay or straight if he loves himself.
