Unfortunatly he passed several years ago, that being Dale Earnhardt Sr. But I do follow Jr now so I 2nd that Go # 8!!!

Wow. So many to choose from. I'm kinda an Elliot Sadler fan, but he's not doing so well this year. If you're going to jump on the band wagon, it's Tony Stewart who, while not in the Nextel Cup Chase, appears to be the overall season winner nonetheless. However, it looks like, to me, it's the year of Jimmy Johnson. I'm fairly sure he's going to win the cup this year.

I'm a big Junior fan, but as far as the best all around driver, that would have to go to Tony Stewart. Tony can drive anything anywhere anytime. Junior still has room to improve although he is by far the best at drafting. He learned that from his Daddy.

I find this type question hard to answer for everybody has a different as to the best.

There is three NASCAR drivers that have been the best in the last few years. Jimmie Johnson,Tony Stewart & Matt Kenseth.
& being realistic Tony is the best of those three. I hate to say this but yeah. he knows how to drive a race car.
follow by Jimmie and Matt. I would have said Jeff Gordon, but he hasn't been GREAT in the past years.

first of all, dale jr is not the best driver. He is probably not a top ten driver. I hate people saying that. First of all, he didn't win rookie of the year. He hasn't won a championship yet, when kenseth has, and started racing the same year dale did. And kenseth is close to 2 championships. And kenseth won the iroc championship. Dale Jr is the best driver? Go back and check the stats please.
