Hi,
Remove serpentine belt. remove 28mm retaining bolt from balancer. Install pulling tool into balancer. Remove balancer with puller. Reverse procedure to install. The labor guide calls for one hour to remove and replace. This time can vary depending on condition of vehicle, fasteners, rust, etc.

Don't know about GMs, but I had one go out on a Colt Wagon, it has to be pulled off the motor, basically removing everything. It took my mechanic a week and 2 tries to get it done.
