The Brain is an amazing computer and at times we use more than 10 percent of it.
Everything is related me typing these Keys is causing an effect to things on the other side of the world.
Deja Vu in my opinion is the Brain tapping in to its vast network and projecting the future events based on everything that is currently happening.
Try this if there is time. We you recognize you are seeing a future event change what you are currently doing. Deja Vu wont happen. If you get good at this you wont ever have Deja Vu again. At least I don't.

There's a saying from the Bible, "there's nothing new under the sun." This is true. Think of it this way, there are only so many "normal" things we do in our days. Eat, drink, shower, work, talk, shop, drivie, etc. Sooner or later, memories are bound to mix from the past and everyone knows the strongest thing to trigger memory is smell. Perhaps without realizing, we smell something that triggers a memory of one thing while we think of another, reminding us of something else. We then, without knowing why, connect two totally unrelated events, deja vu. Weird. And we never knew why. So, it could be lots of things, we just don't know.

Maybe we do live in the Matrix and haven't figured it out yet. Maybe it's a clue to some power we possess and haven't fully understood it yet either. Many supposedly have dreams that download future events. Some just happen to remember it. I had a really strange dream that involved a tornado outside where I live.By the time I realized in the dream it was too late and I fell to the floor and froze. It sounded like a freight train going right over me and the feeling of being surrounded by electricity and pressure it wasn't very pleasant and I woke up.I doubt there will be a tornado here though. That was two nights ago.

Possibly due to a strong desire to escape one's present reality. In a sense deja vu might be an emotional hiding place for many people.

It maybe that, rarely, we notice some things twice. Maybe within a few seconds. The first time it registers itself into memory, but fails to register consciously.
The second time we have both the present conscious experience, and recall the first memory.
