Great question. Hope this helps a lot of people with similar problems. There are times when you cant open certain pages or visit particular sites that you were previously able to access. There are several fixes for this type of problem and you only need a starting place and work your way toward the solution to your problem. First of all, every site you visit implants a cookie from that site onto your hard drive, which enables it to load more quickly the next time you visit that site. Unfortunately all cookies eventually get stale and will no longer allow you to access those sites. Once a week or so, you should delete all of the cookies in your system so that they will "refresh" themselves the next time you access those particular sites. "Disk Cleanup" is the best way to accomplish that. It removes all of the old, stale and unused cookies from the "Cache" and allows you a fresh start. Immediately, you'll notice that your machine speeds up and oporates much better. 2nd. Sometimes when you're downloading programs or tunes from a site, you'll find that some of your "Security" settings have been changed, and often without your knowledge or permission. These changes can also keep you from reaching sites that you normally have no problems accessing. Simply go into your "Control Panel" "Add/remove programs". The 2nd tab at the top of the page is "Security." Click on it and on the next page you'll notice at the top, 4 instances of internet, the first one will already be highlighted for you. Look at the bottom of the page and make sure the Security level isn't set to "Custom". If so, this will prevent you from getting to your sites. To remedy this, click on the "Default Button" which will change it to the proper setting. Then click on "apply." Then highlight the next instance of internet at the top of the page and do the very same thing, click the "Default" button and then on "Apply." Do this for each of the four instances of internet, being sure on the last one to click on "Apply" and then on "Ok." It's important at this stage to restart your computer so that the new changes will take effect. 3rd. You may have a "Popup Blocker" that is keeping you from the sites you're trying to access. You can always disable your popup blocker temporarily to see if this helps. 4th. Last of all, your "Firewall" may be the one blocking you from certain sites. In every Firewall Program, you'll find an area that lets you "allow" or "block" sites. Simply type in the sites that you're having problems reaching and then click on "allow". After listing all of the sites that you frequent, be sure to restart the computer so that the new changes can take effect. Good luck, Larry Radio Shack 019590

Most probably the program you use is bugged. Try to re-install your explorer (if you are using explorer). Also try getting into the site using other internet programs like firefox or netscape. Take care
