Long and short at the same time, if that makes any sense. There are plenty of things I'd love to do before I die, but if need be I can narrow it down to these three:
Visit Ireland
Visit Athens, GA(hometown of my favorite band, REM)
and.....well, visit Michigan. My best friend lives there, and from what I've heard, it seems like a lovely place to be ~ I've never been :)

It has changed over the years as I have had a more difficult and yet, more rewarding life so far. Moreso than I ever envisioned. I firmly believe that that window of opportunity you get when you are young is so essential that you must take advantage of it. I am nearly thirty and telling everyone this.
Let me put it this way: if I had wanted a degree in archaeology, I would have been better off doing it at age nineteen. I would have to take eight years to do it now. Four years for the degree and then the Master's is essential. You must spend at least three years overseas pursuing studies in places like the Outback in Australia and Egypt.
I could get a degree in English Literature but hardly have time for it. My decision has been to take some courses in classical studies, archaeology and Fine Arts through an independent online university. I have been told I am capabe of getting a degree in law, English Literature, etc. but do I want to? English Literature is so time-consuming and while I write, I have written two hours a day for five years. I do not need a degree to write, thanks. I would rather learn how to paint and draw. Maybe I would like a few courses in archaeology and history instead. You make your compromises. I could be bitter but I am a realist. I had to work to support my son and with my wife's disability, it is not realistic.
I can go and start a business online through the Freedom Project, get my poetry published, do a submission for a volume of poetry, start a blog online, and take courses in painting and drawing. Goals have to be realistic but taylored to your interests and needs. Not all of us are 'Bill Clinton' types.

Good question. Thumbs up. I haven't written one down, but I have a mental list. I should start on it too, I think.
