The right type of intelligence helps a more automatically see how to approach problems a little more easily than less of the right type of intelligence does.
People can learn ways to solve problems, though, so just because something may come more easily to someone of a specific type of higher intelligence it doesn't mean that the person who needs to learn those problem-solving skills wouldn't be able to efficiently and effectively solve problems.

It probably depends on both. First of all, you need to realise there is a problem! If you have a good conceptual understanding of the field then it is likely this will occur during your work. However, intelligence helps you in acquiring knowledge about that field and in realizing problems and solutions faster than you otherwise might.
How you set up the problem is also important because the limitations of the set-up can produce a mental fixedness (Einstellung) that leads to the wrong solution or an inability to find the solution.

Good question. I almost automatically said one's own intelligence, because I was thinking no matter the problem, intelligence would make the difference. But then I thought of the IQ test. I've scored fairly high on that test myself, but it doesn't matter; when it comes to certain problems involving other people or stressful situations, I come up a bit short. So to me, it does depend on the problem vs. the person.

an rather interesting article! women people have had a extra non secular effect on my existence than adult adult males. i don't believe of this by layout on my area. Least, i don't believe of so.... Oh boy, I hate to assert this, yet its authentic for me: i'm spiritually attracted (as adverse to bodily or sexually) to females people more effective than adult adult males. i encounter that a particular mix of spirituality and loving compassion attracts me in. base line: i'm a sexist. i recognize this. is this a fault?

common sense often succeeds where intellect fail. Intellect often gets in the way from 'over-thinking" a problem.
