He's an 18-year-old French-Argentine footballer currently with River Plate. Domenech recently called him up to play against Greece but he decided not to. I'm guessing he's not quite sure if he should play for Argentina or France. I think he should play for France. But he could be Riquelme's replacement in Argentina since he's an attacking mid. also ...

What do you think? ARGENTINA or FRANCE??

first of all, higuain is a striker, he is not an attaking mid
second and refering to the question, i think he is in a very difficult moment, because he knows he will play in europe in a few years, so the french passport would help him to play there, and if he plays for argentina he will lose that french passport, but i think he feels like an argentinian, and i think he is going to play for argentina in the future, if coco basile calls him to do that soon, because if he sees that he is not taken in consideration to play in the argentinian national team, he might consider to play for france in that situation

He said previously that he doesn't consider himself a French, so obviously he won't play for France. Face it, he can't speak a single word of French, so obviously he won't be able to adapt to the team. Moreover, he considers himself to be an Argentinian, and has already attracted the interest of the first team coach of Argentina...
Anyways, seems to me that Domenech is becoming desperate with the lack of good French strikers. France has only 3 good strikers: Henry, Trezeguet, Saha and so there's not much cover except for Benzema. Don't make me laugh by speaking about Cissé, cz he's absolute rubbish. Well, I think that Domenech is trying to prepare for the future with Higuain, but he's clearly wasting his time...

I think he's waiting for an Argentina call up. If there's nothing concrete proposed by Argentina, he'll go for France. He'll get better advantage with France as it will be more easy for him to play in Europe. He'll also get better, if he can cope with the European football style. He can be the next Trezeguet...and he must learn French.

Well, if he wanted to play for Argentina he would have said so, and refused the call-up to the French squad. The fact that he has kept mum means that he doesn't mind representing Les Bleus.
