What program are you running the scan from? you should call the 800 number and call ASAP. There are a few virus scans you can run. Try em all. Computer comes with one along with the ISP provider, Good luck.

Try it in the Safe Mode first. This mode stops programs like viruses from runing on their own.
Try going to this on-line scan site and running it. Sometimes these virus cannot stop an on-line scan. Sometimes they can.

If you have a CD of your AV program then use it from startup of the computer. This might keep the Virus from blocking it.
If nothing is working and it continues to block your removing it, then, a reformat might be in order.

Honestly, the best way would be to reformat the whole computer, deleting partions and all. This is an option if you don't have lots of valuable things on your computer, or iTunes or music that you've paid for.

my best friend sent me a virus on purpose it destroyed my computer completely, it even blew a fuse too :(.
