I didn't know Jack was gone until seeing your question and it saddens me that another Hollywood legend has left us. He was unique -- a giant of a man who looked like he'd tear your throat out just for fun, but who wrote poetry. Unforgettable as the sadistic Wilson in "Shane."

I was. I only found out when I logged on tonight.
I'm thinking I might hit blockbuster tomorrow and have a Jack Palance film fest this weekend.
Whatdaya say? Everyone do it! Jack Palance tribute weekend. I want to log on tomorrow and see the entertainment news, that Jack Palance video sales and rentals sky rocketed!

I was sad too. Remember when he came on stage to recieve his academy award and did the one handed push-ups? and the following year he pulled a giant oscar out on stage with a rope. His movies were great. I love Cowboy flicks.
What made things sadder was that a couple of other celebrities passed away today and in the last couple of days. Why do they always die in 3's? I don't quite understand that.

Yeah, I've loved him since I was a kid.... But what a wonderfully long life he lived, and plenty of films & TV for us to enjoy.

He was a great actor and will be missed. Do you remember him doing the one arm push up on TV? It was cool. My husband loved his movies as did i.
