Actually, what works in one office won't necessarily work in other offices. Do you want to be promoted in this office? Take a careful look at what other women in higher positions are wearing, and use that as your blueprint. You might want to add a slight flair of your own, but don't stray too far from that blueprint.
If there are no older women in your office that you want to emulate, look at pictures from conventions in your industry. That should give you a clue.
