According to the book, the land of Oz is divided into four regions, each represented by a different color. Winkie country is yellow, Munchkin country is blue, Gillikan country is purple, and Quadling country is red.
Glinda is actually the ruler of Quadling country and when her bubble flies off, it seems to follow the red road which most likely goes to Quadling country.
