Why do some people seem to thrive on the dillusion that they are the kings and/or queens of particular internet forums such as newsgroups, message boards, chat rooms, etc.? What causes this phenomenon? What is going on in their heads?

Um -- I am not talking about Yahoo Answers. I am talking about discussion forums. Where people can actually discuss things...threaded or real time.

They get 2 "Best Answers" and become kings of their world. Some of us refer to those as 'trolls'. They're tasty with just a little mustard and salt. Dragon told me so.

People want to feel they have helped .....Extra points prove that to them They are eager to help more and more Who knows why it is more important to some than others

It is like this some people get all sorts of toys to be happy others just needs a smile and thanks.
