nicely after looking at tons and many anime my selection is rather puzzling through fact there are diverse variety, yet based of the subject matter : - Mecha / robotic : Gundam - Humour : Slayers, Lina Inverse is merely the suitable - Phylosophical : Neon Genesis Evangelion - Samurai : Samurai Shamploo - Echii : Onegai instructor - Plot : Ghost interior the Shell - Heroin : Kiddy Grade. I merely love Eclair - Hero : finished steel Panic. Tumbs up for Fumoffu, Sagara is super in it. - music : Noir or Hack sign : the two OST are superb So asserting merely one may well be puzzling for the different sequence.

I LOVE Neon Genesis Evangelion, I don't care if the main character is a wimp, I don't care if everyone has a drk horrible past (that's how they connect), I don't care if the last two episodes made no f***en sense at all, I don't care if there's alot of religion related things to it, i don't care if Shinji had a crush on a crush of his MOTHER, it's my most favorite anime ever!
I also like Love Hina and that's all.
Oh and zatchbell is ok too
