My wife always says that I've seen every movie ever made. I think I've missed a couple along the way. However, I can tell you a couple of things. Get out of your own way ! Let yourself look outside of the box that you've built. There are thousands upon thousands of enjoyable films in the world. Some are happy, some are sad, some old and some new. But, if you learn not to pre-judge movies, you can broaden your horizons and enjoyment level ten fold. Good Luck !

That's a wide open question. Depends on the type of movie you like and if you're looking for something in the theater or for rent.
In the theater http://www.fandango.com/ You can find what's showing near you, in the US, I believe. Reviews too.
To rent http://www.netflix.com/ The BEST! Professional and user reviews.

IMDB has pretty extensive ratings on movies.
It has alot of response volume.
I'm currently trying to watch all the TOP100 rated movies of all time.

Ask your friends for recommendatons. Read reviews. Keep your eyes and ears open, but don't fall for the publicity factory! You'll just encourage Hollywood to produce more crap if you patronize it...

buy them, rent them, or view them at the theatre. think of the genre that may interest you, and become educated on films you would like. I know I always have liked the classics.

I'll limit it to my top five favorites
True Romance http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108399/
Jackie Brown http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119396/
Death to Smoochy http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266452/
The Usual Suspects http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114814/
Goodfellas http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099685/
And anything else Quentin has ever touched in any way.
And, if you can find it, Destiny Turns on the Radio (it's kinda cheesy but I love it!)
