If you want the short answer, it's because of Bible prophecy. The long answer is, the world is actually in the hands of someone very sinister--the Devil. He's only got a little time left, and so he's angry---kind of like the Nazis were when they realized they only had a limited period of time before they would be discovered by the allied troops, and so they went through and wreaked as much havoc and destruction as they could in the concentration camps. I know this flies in the face of what a lot of churches and religions teach, but it's all right there in the Bible. The good news is that, since Satan's time is short, he'll be stopped very soon. And then things will get a whole lot better.
If anyone knocks on your door soon, try something new: listen to them. You may find that what they have to say makes sense.

The world is such any ugly place because there are MANY ugly people in it--there is so much hatred--people need to work through that and get on with their life and stay out of things that have no tangible effect on them or their life.

First, I don't think you are being sinister or negative at all, as was implied. We are living in the "last day" as was prophesied in the bible. That's why we see so many injustices; and we would not want to have blinders on; Jesus condemned those in Noah's day for taking no note.... However the bible provides a hope for better things under God's kingdom. Only then will complete justice earth-wide take place. It will then be a beautiful place.

Because only things that appear to be symmetrical are considered to be asthetically pleasing. People want to be "Individuals" and most, generally fear uniformity. But let's face it, when you see uniformity, you probably think it (they) look sharp. The dancers on "River Dance" or a drum and bugle corps. All, uniform. It's when we act in unity that we sound more like a symphony. But it's when we're just tuning up and everyone's doing their own thing that we sound horrible. Religion, politics, wealth Vs poverty. Back in Teddy Roosevelt's day, the minorities were Irish-Americans and Italina-Americans (now it's "African-Americans"). Teddy said this about it, "It's the hyphenation that divides us." We need to stop trying to set ourselves apart by looking at and accentuating our differences and start looking at what makes us the same.

Because of our government. They took praying out of schools they took corporal punishment in schools. People are to busy to care. They have lost the family values. Most parents do not know what there children are doing. They should care more about families than material things as well as there jobs.

Have you traveled the world to come to this conclusion? If not, then stop watching TV news or reading the newspapers, the world is not all that bad.
